Akanbi is heading a new generation of dedicated ravers in NYC. Raised in Lagos, Nigeria, with limited access to the internet but a huge thirst for new music, Akanbi moved to NY in 2010 and immersed himself head on into every corner of dance music, as a serious dancer and eventually a DJ and rave activator. He’s cultivated his unique style of DJing that delivers an intentional blend of freak-out boogie music, sensual rollers, whipcrack bangers, insistent percussion, afrobeat(s) goodness, deep thumping low frequencies & slow-burning experimental descents. In 2016 he started New York’s GROOVY GROOVY parties, a judgment-free atmosphere for wild dance floors, spiritual, mental & physical rejuvenation, radical politics, and a dose of undeniably rocking talent.

Wonja's DJ sets are respected far and wide for their incredible breadth. With mixes for Honcho, Dekmantel, and Bar Part TIme, and productions as one half of Motoko & Meyers, expect Wonja to bring elite level selection to the floor.

In the back room, Qaotiq DJs Chuck Gunn and Stōned Früit will be serving their unstoppable brand of fierce energy.

wʍwood opens up the front room. Their sets feature whimsical techno with occasional shades of post-punk to bouncy electro and leftfield bass.
