Vladimir Ivkovic at Housepitality is a very rare and special treat that we get to enjoy this upcoming Wednesday March 11th 2020. This is where the rubber hits the road and our musical edges are truly tested. Vladimir’s approach to a dance floor encompasses a larger philosophy on the entirety of the human experience. It is everything and and nothing in one. His vinyl collection has been carefully curated with unique attention to every manipulatable waveform frequency and vocal detail in songs. His dj sets blow the minds of some of the most respected dance floor djs because they are like beautiful abstractly elegant paintings with rare color palettes, maybe from another galaxy.
Ok, that was a mouthful but its true when we see Carlos Souffront dropping avant garde sets with him on Red Light Radio. He has a huge following of listeners who enjoy the experience of his sets. He seems to always be playing regular ongoing b2b shows with past Housepitality headliner Lena Wilikens. He and Lena have 15+ year old friendship going back to their days at Salon Des Amateurs in Dusseldorf and when they play together an entire different aspect of his musical armory seems to unfold. It’s impressive stuff to say the least.
Vladimir’s tour schedules seem to highlight his ability to take listeners on these galactic journeys (I used that word twice in this article now, yea). This show is an experience in which we really do not know what to expect other than the guarantee that we have true dj maestro coming to our house. Funny enough, as a side note, Vladimir runs Loco Dice’s label which is in stark primitive contrast in musicality to his own selections and taste. Was that harsh? It wasn’t meant to be but rather just to illustrate how evolved Vladimir Ivkovic is, that he can also do that. This is serious music biz dear Housepitality fans.. Get ready for a real treat and come ready to experience something very very special and different for the pit.

Speaking of super deep music level, one of San Francisco’s most hidden best kept secret weapon dj collector/selector, SAIMAN LI steps up to rock the back room. I’ve personally known SAIMAN for almost 20 years and have always been in awe of his music collecting taste. He can also mix them well after many years of practice. I am SO excited to have him play Housepitality after so many years of talking about it. He deserves this so pls support him. I will add a little bio on him:
Saiman Li is a visual artist and a local dj. He has been collecting electronic music since the 90’s from idm, waves, electro, techno & the like. In the past, Saiman had deejayed special events at SFMONA & Asian Art Museum. He has hosted annual Lunar new year event at Project Artaud in the city since 2008. Recently he was a guest deejay at Vinyl Dreams, ‘Kosmetik’ at the Stud and ‘Mass’ at the Armory Club. For his debut at Housepitality, Saiman shall play an eclectic selector from his vinyl collections
